Bhadrak: Following complaints and allegations of conversions of innocent tribals to Christianity, the Bhadrak district government enacted Section 144 in the region, stating that only three people are permitted to meet near the church.
This church is in the Geltua village in Odisha's Bhadrak Block. According to the Bhadrak Sub-Collector, an inquiry was conducted jointly by the Executive Magistrate and the IIC of Rural PS.

"The conversion of tribals to Christianity was a source of contention. We found that there is some tension between communities. In Geltua, the district government has enacted Section 144, it allows three people to meet in the area of the Church "Bhadrak Sub Collector Manoj Patra said.

Sharing concern to media persons,  Phulamani Munda, a member of the tribal group, "Yesterday, we came here to pray. We did not use loudspeakers here, and we never offended anyone's feelings. We prayed in silence in this Church. We believe in Jesus and walk in his footsteps. We have no idea why people are harassing us here."
