Secunderabad: Some parents of private schools submitted a memorandum to Hyderabad Collector L Sharman. He requested them to direct private schools to issue TCs to those who want to go to government institutions. Many students want to transfer from private schools to government institutions, but private school managements are reportedly refusing to give Transfer Certificate (TC).

The parents alleged that the private management was not issuing TC to their children, who are willing to go to government schools, as they were unable to pay the fee due to the COVID pandemic. And the management is openly violating the court order not to collect fees other than tuition fees. A parent said, “Schools are deliberately not updating the drop-boxes of students who are willing to leave. The management is demanding money to do so. My daughter studies in a private school in Secunderabad. Several Bar I requested the school to issue TC."

Another parent said, “I lost my job last year due to covid. I tried to explain my position to the school management and requested to reduce the fee. The management has filed a complaint against the court for not depositing fees other than tuition fees. Openly violating the order. I asked for transfer certificate to my daughter, but the school refused to give the TC demanding money. We submitted a representation to the collector through WhatsApp, requesting him That they should direct the schools to issue TC immediately without asking for money,"
