Security forces killed Terrorist involved in murder of Army jawan Aurangzeb

A terrorist who was involved in the murder of an Indian Army rifleman, Aurangzeb killed by Security forces. According to the reports, the man, named Shaukat Ahmad Dar, was killed on Saturday in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Two other militants were killed in the gunbattle. There were two other encounters -- one in Anantnag district and another in Sopore, located in North Kashmir, where one militant was killed.

The 24-year-old Aurangzeb was posted with the 44 Rashtriya Rifles; he was abducted in June 2018 when he was travelling home for Eid. He was later found dead with multiple gunshot wounds. One of Aurangzeb's brothers was speaking to him on the phone when he was abducted.

At that Aurangzeb’s brother said. "I never imagined militants were kidnapping my unarmed brother." The rifleman was awarded a Shaurya Chakra. His father, Mohammed Hanief, joined the BJP this year.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Aurangzeb's family after he was killed, and described him as an "inspiration for the entire nation".
