Security tighten at Ambala airforce due to Rafale jets

New Delhi: Rafael's first batch of one of the world's most powerful fighter jets is scheduled to reach India on Wednesday morning. All five aircraft flew from France to India on Monday. The five planes reached the UAE after traveling for seven hours and after that, it will land in India. The five planes will land at Ambala airbase. Section 144 has been implemented in the vicinity of Ambala Air Force Station before the landing of the aircraft.

Ambala district administration has imposed Section 144 in the area around the Air Force Station, as well as photography and videography. The gathering of more than 4 people in the area is prohibited. The 3-km radius of Ambala airbase has been declared a no-drone zone. There will be a complete ban on drones or any other flight within 3 km radius of the airbase.

India has to get 36 Rafale aircraft from France, out of which 5 are going to reach India. Delivery of all 36 aircraft can be completed by 2021. Rafael is currently in the UAE's Al Dafra Airport after flying from France. Rafale aircraft will fly from UAE on Wednesday morning and will reach Ambala in some time. These five Rafale aircraft will set a total distance of 7 thousand kilometers and land at Ambala airbase tomorrow.
