A shocking incident is coming out from America, where a woman has been accused of killing her 64-year-old stepfather. The woman had seen her private pictures in her stepfather's laptop. After this, the daughter strangled the father to death. During the hearing in the court, many revelations were made in this case.

According to the report, 39-year-old Jade Janks, who lives in California, USA, is facing the murder case of her stepfather Thomas Merriman. Thomas died in 2021. A court hearing was held on Monday. Prosecutors said Janks had seen her personal photos in Thomas' laptop. After seeing this, she became furious. When Janks was cleaning her stepfather Thomas' room, she saw her photo in her laptop. A private photo of her was used as a screensaver in the laptop. When Janks opened the laptop, she found a lot of photos in it.

It is alleged that Janks then drugged her stepfather Thomas and then strangled him in an unconscious state. Police found Thomas' body in a garbage dump. Prosecutors allege Thomas Merriman died after taking too many sleeping pills. These pills were given to him by Janks. It was not an accident but a planned murder. However, Janks has denied the allegations. Janks' lawyers argue that the stepfather died of ill health and an overdose of "drugs". He insisted that Janks had not killed her stepfather. Officials said Janks' personal photos were taken more than a decade ago with consent by Janks and her boyfriend. However, it is not clear how these photos reached Thomas's laptop. The officers also referred to Janks' messages that he had sent to an unknown person just before Thomas' death. In this, Janks's words seem suspicious.
