The youth, a resident of a village in the Nawabganj police station area, had come to a village in the Thane area on Monday. Baratis welcomed when they reached the bride's door. The meal started. In the meantime, the bride's family started to get a tinge of what they saw in the groom's gestures. The matter came up to the bride. The first family refused to have a relation.

Later the bride also agreed to them. When the groom and the baratis came to know about it, the initiative to make a point started. The panchayat continued for a long time between the people on both sides but things still did not work out. In the morning, the groom and his brother came to the police station with the Baratis. Apart from the uncle, the brother and others in the family also joined in from the bride's side. Both sides accused each other. The bride's brother has said that the groom was drifting when he reached the door. He was demanding more onions in the food. This raised apprehensions from the family members. They also broke up the marriage over the same.

The groom has to say that the allegations being levelled against him are wrong. He does not consume any kind of drugs. The police tried to make a point between the two sides for a long time. When things did not work out, both the parties asked the in-charge of the police station to return the goods. On this, it was decided that the power of attorney of the bridegroom should be returned to the groom by the family members of a flat in the name of the groom. After which the goods will be returned. The groom will have to bear the cost of returning the power of attorney.
