Dehradun: Uttarakhand cabinet minister Rekha Arya went to village Kedarwala to reach out to the women who were harvesting wheat in the field. Due to this, he started cutting wheat with the women with a sickle. The minister discussed with the women harvesters about their daily routine and honored them. While leaving the forest of Kedarwala village, State Food, Women Welfare and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya stopped her convoy after seeing the women harvesting wheat in the fields. Due to this, the minister got down from the car and reached the women and started discussing with them about the harvesting of agriculture.

Meanwhile, the minister started cutting wheat by taking a sickle from a woman. On the other hand, a large number of villagers gathered on the spot as soon as the complaint was received about the minister's presence in the field. He took information about tractor and thresher from village head Tabbsum Imran. Due to this, he said that the women of the state discharge their responsibilities with a lot of hard work and dedication. The minister said that the government is making every effort for the empowerment of women. He also honored the women working in the fields by wearing them with shawls.

Food Minister Rekha Arya inspected the wheat procurement center at Vikasnagar and inquired about the arrival of food grains. Center in-charge and Food Department SMO Ranjana Rajput informed the minister about the purchase. Thereafter, the Minister also inspected the FCI godown in the city. Along with taking information about the maintenance of government ration, he gave necessary instructions to the officers. He also discussed with the officers about the arrival of wheat in small quantities at the procurement center. Along with this, instructions were also given to make all necessary arrangements for the convenience of the farmers at the procurement centers. The minister said that the purpose of the government is to benefit the farmers, that is why the procurement centers were opened in the state from April 1. He said that if farmers are getting good price outside, then there is nothing better than this. Government procurement centers are for the convenience of the farmers. He said that the effort of the government has been made to meet the target of procurement.
