IPS officer Seemant Kumar Singh after helping migrant labourers during the first wave of coronavirus pandemic, now turned into a saviour for Covid-19 patients in Karnataka.

Seemant Kumar Singh, presently posted as ADGP in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, has reportedly provided around 100 oxygen concentrators with the help of his friends to taluk and village hospitals in 17 districts of Karnataka.

The officer and his friends started a crowdfunding campaign to purchase oxygen concentrators from across the world.

Once purchased, the group dispatched the equipment to the District Superintendent of Police and then local police, who handed it over to the hospital authorities.

"We are looking at around 300 concentrators. It might increase in the next few weeks. These are people who have come together to help the ones in need. We are doing our bit for society," said Seemant Kumar Singh.

During the first wave, IPS officer Seemant Kumar Singh helped labourers to return to their native places in North India.
