Monday, Shiv Sena and BJP demanded action against AIB’s group member comedian Tanmay Bhat for sharing a video in which purportedly ridiculed legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
The Sena wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in which they demanded to take a strict action against Tanmay Bhat and AIB. Party leader Neelam Gorhe has written to Fadnavis seeking action against those behind the video which she alleged was made by people with "deranged mentality".
The Sena leader said "Such people try to misuse the popularity of icons like Sachin and Lata tai for their own publicity," Gorhe told PTI. "I have also written to Mumbai Police Commissioner seeking action against Tanmay Bhat and AIB”.
