Senior IPS Pawan Jain will get INVC Int'l Award today, know his important contribution

New Delhi: Four eminent personalities of the country will be conferred with the INVC International Award 2020 at an online international felicitation ceremony to be held in the national capital Delhi at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Shri Pawan Jain, Senior IPS, Madhya Pradesh Cadre and presently Director General, Home Guard Civil Defence and Disaster Management will be conferred with the INVC International Award for his distinguished work in public service and commendable work in the field of social service.

Shri Pawan Jain is the first IPS officer in India to have succeeded in the Civil Services Examination by writing a pure science subject through Hindi. Shri Pawan Jain hails from Rajakheda tehsil of Dholpur district of Rajasthan, who has chosen the Hindi language as well as public service as his national campaign during government service as a project of service. Shri Pawan Jain has also recited poetry from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the eve of Republic Day several times. He has also recited poetry abroad. The felicitation ceremony will be attended by Mr Tore Johan Brevic, International Diplomat and former Chief of United Nations Communications and Outreach United Nations Environment from Oslo Norway.

Commendable work done in the sports department:- Pawan Jain did excellent work during his short tenure in the Sports Department for about 14 months. He encouraged the sportspersons of the State to go to Tokyo Olympics. In the Olympics and Paralympics, Madhya Pradesh athletes participated and won medals. There was also a two-time kickdown during this corona epidemic of the most adverse conditions. But he handled the difficult situation with great skill and took the players to his home efficiently. He also resumed sports activities across the country when the situation was normal. Sharad Kumar, a resident of Bihar, who won a medal for the country at the Paralympics, was given all possible support for the practice. Sharad Kumar worked hard with the Ukrainian coach at the TT Nagar Stadium for a month and won a medal for the country in Tokyo Olympics.

Dr Virendra Rawat, Convener, Award Selection Committee and Advocate, Supreme Court said that the award distribution ceremony for the year 2020 was postponed due to the corona epidemic. The event will now be held online on September 23, 2021, at 6 pm Indian Time at Google Meet. Under this, INVC Lifetime Achievement International Award, former CMD Shri PM Bhardwaj, eminent educationist and education broadcaster Smt Bharti Parashar, former UN International Diplomat Shri Vijay Samnotra and IPS Shri Pawan Jain Director General Home Guards, Disaster Management and Civil Defence Madhya Pradesh are being conferred for the upliftment of Hindi language and sports, innovation in police and very distinguished contribution to social service.
