In early trade today the benchmark Sensex and NSE Nifty dropped down. The benchmark BSE Sensex fell over 73 points and the NSE Nifty dipped below the 9,200-mark.

The 30-share barometer was quoting lower by 73.15 points, or 0.28per cent, at 29,570.33. The NSE Nifty cracked below the 9,200-level by falling 26.55 points, or 0.28 percent, to 9,176.90.

The Brokers as per the sources news said market mood took a hit after a government data, which was released after trading hours yesterday, showed industrial output slipped to a 4-month low, contracting 1.2 percent in February.
