Friday, in the early trade the benchmark Sensex fell down by 72 points and the NSE Nifty slipped below the 7,900-mark, as investors took profits in recent gainers amid weak Asian cues.
After trading hours today, Investors remained cautious as they looked forward to earnings show of blue-chip companies, including Reliance Industries.
Where the 30-share barometer declined 72.01 points, or 0.28 per cent, to 25,808.37, with sectoral indices led by consumer durables, capital goods, healthcare, banking, IT and FMCG bringing about the fall. Also, The index had risen about 1,207 points in the previous six sessions.
However, the NSE Nifty cracked below the crucial 7,900-level by falling 24.25 points, or 0.31 per cent, at 7,887.80.
