Sensex, Nifty settle at fresh lifetime highs, See top Stocks

Equity benchmarks reach new highs and kept up their four-day winning streak, led by the major index constituents Reliance Industries, Wipro, and Maruti saw strong buying on weekended Friday, November 25.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 20.96 points, or 0.03%, to close at 62,293.64, setting a new record closing high. It floated by 175.05 points or 0.28% throughout the day to reach its highest intraday level ever at 62,447.73. Similarly,  the broader NSE Nifty increased by 28.65 points, or 0.15%, to finish at 18,512.75, its highest position ever. 

With a 1.34 percent increase, Reliance Industries led all Sensex companies. Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Maruti, Tata Steel, and Mahindra & Mahindra were also among the top gainers. The major laggards, on the other hand, were Nestle, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, and HCL Technologies.

International Markets: Shanghai closed in the black, but markets in Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong ended lower. In the afternoon trade, equity exchanges in Europe were primarily trading down. On Thursday, Wall Street was closed due to a holiday.

Crude Oil: Brent crude, the international standard for crude oil, was up 1.21% to USD 86.37 per barrel.

According to exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) changed from sellers to buyers on Thursday, purchasing shares worth 1,231.98 crore.
