According to the recently unveiled holiday schedule by the Reserve Bank of India, a roster of 12 official holidays is scheduled across various states for the upcoming month. This tally, when combined with Sundays and alternate Saturday leaves, effectively culminates in 16 non-working days for banks in September.

September 6 – Sri Krishna Janmashtami
Marking the celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, banks will remain closed in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Jammu, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.
September 7 – Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Sri Krishna Ashtami
