Lucknow: In the big state of Uttar Pradesh, the state government has decided to end the service of Anganwadi workers who meet the age limit of 62 years. The activities of Anganwadi workers will also be investigated. The government is constantly receiving complaints that contrary to the government's guidelines, services are still being taken from Anganwadi workers above the age of 62 years, and the honorarium is being given to them.

The same which the government has considered as financial irregularities. Many programs for children, adolescents, and pregnant women are being organized by the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department of the Anganwadi centers in the state. Anganwadi workers have been entrusted with the responsibility of leading all these events.

Smartphones have also been obtained by the government to Anganwadi workers but it has been found in the departmental review that many Anganwadi centers are neither operating, nor regular reports are being provided in connection with the nutritional distribution. Similarly, smartphones provided by the department are also not being used. The government order issued on September 4, 2012, in connection with the selection process for the appointment of Anganwadi workers, mini Anganwadi workers and assistants is also being violated.
