NEW DELHI: Despite numerous protests against the Agnipath initiative for the armed forces, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande declared the policy would not be pulled back, and that the recruitment timetable has been released today.

"The Agnipath scheme will not be reversed." When the plan is implemented, there will be good adjustments and the scheme will be adjusted as needed." General Pande also admitted that a lack of awareness regarding the initiative is causing concern among children.

He also stated that the strategy was beneficial to the youth, the Army, and the country as a whole. He also advised hopefuls to avoid being misled and instead concentrate on preparing for the physical and written exams.

"The young of the country should understand that the Agnipath initiative is advantageous to them, the Army, and the country," General Pande said. This is a win-win situation for both the Army and the country. "Do not be deceived."

The Indian Navy has announced that it will use the Agnipath scheme to recruit women as sailors. After completing their training, these female sailors will be sent to warships. Women will be able to apply for positions in the Personnel Below Officers' Rank (PBOR) for the first time.
