Seven Indian Army servicemen are said to have been caught in an avalanche in Arunachal Pradesh's Kameng Sector. The people stuck in a high-altitude region, and they were part of a patrol when the avalanche struck.

A search and rescue operation with specialised personnel was launched as a result. The crews were flown in to help with the rescue efforts. According to the army, the servicemen have been detained there since February 6 due to severe weather and heavy snowfall in the area during the last few days.

The Indian Army Eastern Command is in charge of the 1,346-kilometer-long Line of Actual Control (LAC), which includes Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

Three corps make up the Eastern Command. The LAC will be handled by the 33 Corps (Sikkim), the four Corps (Kameng Sector), and the three Corps (Rest of Arunachal Pradesh).It's also worth noting that the Border Roads Organisation is working hard to build roads in such vulnerable areas.
