In Bijnor on the National Highway-74 near Sherkot a tanker collided head-on with an SUV and in the mishap, seven people lost their lives while other four have suffered from injuries.

The police as per the sources news said 'In the crash, the tanker fell into a 10-foot deep roadside ditch. The driver of the tanker, in his attempt to jump out of the falling vehicle, got crushed under its wheels'

The SUV was returning from Kashipur to Laksar in Haridwar district from a wedding ceremony yesterday when the incident happened, they said.

The injured victims were taken to the hospital.
