Accused who was detained in a loot case, run away from the police custody after he was produced in the district court here prompting the authorities to suspend seven police personnel.

District police spokesperson said, “Kapil, who was arrested in connection with a recent loot case, today escaped from a cell in the court premises after the hearing”

He further said that,”Over 12 cases of murder and loot are pending against Kapil in various police stations of the district,”

Spokesperson added, “After the accused escaped, a case of negligence was registered against the seven police personnel, including a woman constable, who were then suspended”
