Last Saturday, six civilians were killed in Nagaland when security forces allegedly opened fire in Mon district. The situation has become tense as a result of this. 'The incident occurred in Oting (Oting) village in Mon district, where the victim villagers were coming home in a pick-up truck,' according to sources. The tragedy was discovered, according to the information gathered, when the villagers slain in the incident were unable to return home on their own time. After seeing the bodies of persons in the case, enraged locals set fire to security forces trains.

The event also resulted in the injuries of a number of persons. The government, on the other hand, has not yet verified this. Chief Minister of Nagaland, Nefiu Rio, has appealed to the public for calm in the situation, saying the event will be examined by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Let me inform you that the Chief Minister condemned the event in a tweet this morning.

In a tweet, he said, "The terrible incidence of citizens being killed in Mon's Oting is very condemnable." I send my heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. I wish the folks who have been hurt a fast recovery. The incident will be investigated by a high-level SIT, and justice will be served according to the law. I'm pleading with everyone to keep the peace. On the other side, state IPS officer Rupin Sharma posted a video of the event on Twitter and commented, "Several people, including security forces, have been reported slain in Oting village." He eventually erased the video, though.
