Dehradun: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached his native village in Harkhola in Pithoragarh on Wednesday as part of his excursion ceremony. Due to this, he was given a grand welcome by the party workers and local villagers. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will participate in a cycle rally at Gunji after kotgadi temple.

Thereafter, he will hold a meeting with the workers at the BJP district office. On the other hand, Congress state in-charge Devendra Singh Yadav reached Pantnagar airport where he was received by Congress workers. He then reached Champawat. At the same time, Harish Rawat has also come out in support of the Congress candidate. Only a few days are left for the same Champawat by-election. The elections are due on May 31 and the results will be out on June 4. In such a situation, the parties do not want to leave any stone unturned in the election campaign now. Chief Minister Dhami is constantly touring the constituency and doing public relations. At the same time, congress veterans are also throwing full force in the election campaign.

On the other hand, since the beginning of the Chardham Yatra in May, rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand has added to the woes of the devotees. Due to this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that kedarnath dham is receiving continuous rain, so people are being appealed to postpone the yatra for some time in view of the bad weather. He appealed to the people to proceed as per the updates received from the administration regarding the weather and the journey.
