Patna: Police have arrested five girls, including a minor, and four youths after raiding the dens of a sex racket in Bihar's capital Patna. The police recovered several objectionable items besides condoms from the spot. Locals said a sex racket was going on here for years. City SP Pramod Kumar said that a raid was conducted late on Monday night in a house on road number 3 of Khemanichak Subhash Nagar under Ramakrishna Nagar police station. Police said the woman, who ran the sex racket, lived here as a family with the pimp. So that no one suspects, she had rented this house. These people were running this business through mobile phones and WhatsApp. The girls used to cost between Rs 300 and Rs 4,000. Apart from Patna, girls were also supplied to other cities.
According to the news received, 5 girls and 4 boys, including minors, have been detained from the house in objectionable conditions. According to the information, the locals had informed the police officers about the sex racket. As soon as the news was received, the police of many police stations raided the house by conducting a recce. The arrested girls are said to be aged between 16 and 20 years. While the boys are around 25 to 30 years of age. After the raids in Ram Krishna Nagar, police also raided several places in Patrakar Nagar and Beur area in connection with related cases. Some of the girls rescued and caught by the police are from other states who were called to Patna on the pretext of paying huge amounts. Some of them were called on the pretext of jobs. Police are investigating the matter.
