Andhra Pradesh: A case of sexual harassment has been registered against the sub-registrar of Eluru, West Godavari district Jayaraju for sexually assaulting an attendant working in the audit section in the branch. Going into details, a woman working as an attendant in the audit section of the registrar's office approached Disha police and alleged that a man named Jayaraju was sexually harassing her for the past few days. The woman employee said she had complained about Jayaraju's harassment to the district registrar, while higher officials reprimanded her and dropped the matter.

However, the registrar's harassment did not stop but intensified. Meanwhile, the victim claimed that the registrar had threatened to kill her if her demands were not met. Disha police have registered a case and investigation is going on. On the other hand, the accused working as Deputy Registrar in the Audit Section was also booked by the Anti-Corruption Bureau at Jangareddygudem three years ago.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested a person who indulged in online cricket betting in an apartment in Visakhapatnam. Two cell phones, two checkbooks, two ATM cards and Rs 88,000 cash were seized along with laptops. The police, who registered the case, are on the lookout for some more bookies based on the information provided by Prabhakar.
