Bhopal: A district judge in Madhya Pradesh has been charged with sexual assault. The case was heard in the apex court. The court has issued a notice to the Shivraj government of the state. The Supreme Court has also said that the trend of making such allegations against the judge is going on nowadays. Seeking a response from the state government on the entire issue, Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Boelder made the remarks when the district judge's lawyer said that the allegation was also made when he was promoted and the process of making a judge in the High Court began.

The CJI said that it is often seen when such allegations are levelled against the judge. As soon as it comes to being sent to the High Court or the apex court, suddenly someone 20 years old is 'remembered' and prosecuted. The apex court also stayed disciplinary action against Raghuvanshi.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court had dismissed Raghuvanshi's plea and ordered disciplinary action. Raghuvanshi claimed that his 32-year-long judicial tenure had been impeccable. Recently, Justice Arun Misra had also commented during prashant bhushan's contempt of court hearing saying that we are sitting in a place where we cannot go publicly to defend ourselves.
