New Delhi [India], June 26 (NT): President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday met his Seychellois counterpart Danny Faure and organized a banquet in his honor at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.

The banquet was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge among others.

Seychellois president Danny Faure is on his first bilateral visit to India, earlier in the day he received ceremonial reception and took a pleasure at the lunch hosted by Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House.

At a lunch yesterday Seychellois president sang a song at the lunch hosted by Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House.

President Faure sang a version of a song named 'Mon Pei Sa' while playing a musical instrument as Prime Minister Modi highly praised by applauding for him.

 Following a six-day visit to India, the Seychellois President landed here on June 22.

As part of his visit at Hyderabad house, President Faure issued a joint statement with Prime Minister Modi and the two leaders lauded for strengthening bilateral defense ties and growing trade.

 Worth mention here India and Seychelles also inked 6 Memoranda of Understanding in the fields of data sharing, culture, information technology, and education. (NT)
