Shabana Azmi is celebrating her birthday today. Shabana Azmi was born on September 18 and today she has turned 70 years old. She was born in Hyderabad to Indian poet Kaifi Azmi and stage artist Shaukat Kaifi. Shabana is an excellent actor, and even today her look, her character and her acting amaze people.

She married the famous writer and poet Javed Akhtar in the year 1984. Very few people know that this was Shabana Azmi's first marriage but Javed's second marriage. Javed had married Honey Irani before Shabana Azmi. Honey is an excellent actress and has made a place in the hearts of people after working in around 72 films in her career. Honey and Javed had two children, Farhan Akhtar and Joya Akhtar. However, Javed and Honey's marriage could not last for a long time and both got divorced and then Javed married Shabana. Shabana's family is said to be against her relationship because Javed was already married but everyone had to bow down to love.

Once, Shabana said in an interview, "His father told her, he (Javed Akhtar) is not wrong but the situation is wrong. Then I asked him if I change the situation? Later, Honey realised that it was not the Javed she loved, and after that, she decided to separate from him. Shabana Azmi did not become a mother because of medical issues, but Farhan Akhtar and Joya Akhtar Shabana Azmi treat her as their own mother and both are very close to her.
