The news of mourning for a family on the day of Holi has been received from the Poonch police station area of Jhansi. Here, the news of a farmer committing suicide, who was troubled by the loss in farming, created a sensation in the entire area from the front.

Gaurishankar Rajput (50), a resident of Village Chitguwan under the Poonch police station area of Jhansi, was a farmer from Pesh. He was a tenant of 10 bighas of land. In the rabi season, he had sown peas in 8 bighas and wheat in 2 bighas out of his 10 bighas of land. Recently, when the crop was harvested, only 8 quintals of peas were produced in 8 bighas.

Younger brother Laxman has said that he was mentally disturbed due to the loss in agriculture. On Friday morning, he left the house without informing anyone. After some time, his body was found mutilated on the railway track passing near the village. The brother has said that due to the damage caused in the cultivation, Gaurishankar had given his life by jumping in front of the goods train.
