New Delhi: Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has claimed that India dominates world cricket. Former all-rounder Shahid Afridi has also explained the reason behind this that why India is dominating world cricket. Afridi says it (India) is the "biggest cricket market".  

Afridi, a player of the T20 World Cup-winning Pakistan team, spoke about the Indian Premier League (IPL) and its recently announced two-and-a-half-month window and said India is capable of doing so. The long window of the IPL is going to affect international cricket as well as the Pakistan FTP program, because cricket is played in Pakistan at the same time.

Shahid Afridi, while talking to a local media channel, said, "It all depends on the market and the economy. The biggest (cricket) market is India. What they say will happen. Let us tell you that the five-year media rights of the IPL were sold for $6.02 billion (about Rs 48,390 crore). After which the IPL has come in the second place in the world's most expensive sports league. Afridi's statement has come out on this occasion.
