From Taal and Ishq Vishq to Rangoon, Bollywood's dreamboat Shahid Kapoor has come a long way. The hot and heartthrob actor who boasts Indian & Bollywood parentage was born on February 25, 1981.

On the occasion of his birthday, we are handing you out with some of the controversies Shahid was entangled in that proved him as a Bollywood's bad boy.

Starting with his quarrel with Rajkumar Santoshi, the latter approached Shahid for a film but the reviews of Halla Bol getting flopped made Shahid reverse his decision. He refused to work with Santoshi so much that he stopped entertaining his calls. Santoshi on an end opted Ranbir Kapoor for the same to which Shahid responded:

"It's very embarrassing to hear something like this. The reason why this project didn't work was because portions of the script were similar to JAB WE MET. We parted on an amicable note. I've great regards for Raj-Ji and I would never ever avoid his calls."

Secondly, Priyadarshan was trapped in actor's net. While the actor and director were shooting for Chup Chup Ke, the former suggested Priyan a way a scene must be shot. Priyan was in a great shock of his life and told Shahid to mind his own business.

Shahid on this matter clarified that "Priyan-ji is a veteran, how could I tell him how to shoot a film? But, yes, we didn't hit off during the making of that film. I was uncomfortable… but I'd like to work with him again if he feels he has the right script for me."

The next controversy is about Abbas-Mustan who approached Shahid for a film after they worked together in 36 China Town to which Shahid was inaccessible and was still pointed out as not drawing near Shahid Kapoor by the diplomatic actor himself.

The actor stated that "We haven't discussed a film since quite some time. I would love to work with them, they're amongst my favorites. But, believe me, they haven't approached me for any of their films."

Not ending soon with his controversies, Ashutosh Gowariker has accompanied thereafter. A movie the latter signed Sasha for, had to wait for a very long time. Ending up replacing the actor with Harman Baweja in What's Your Rashee? to which Shahid replied "Yes, we did meet, but he wanted immediate dates and since I had committed those days to Vishal Bhardwaj, I couldn't take up the offer. I'd love to work with him, I love his cinema."

The actor is no doubt loved by every next girl because of his tremendous acting but the negative phase of life of a person goes on with the positive one.
