The trailer of Bollywood’s much awaited, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chaalu’ has been released. The title of the movie, kept us guessing its concept, since the day it was announced. The movie has been helmed by Shri Narayan Singh, who has also directed ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’.

It is based on the issue of electricity bills in the country.

The trailer features Shahid Kapoor essaying the role of an advocate. Shraddha Kapoor plays his love interest and Divyendu Sharma plays his friend who is shattered when he is handed over an electricity bill of Rs 54 Lakhs. In the pressure of the debt, he commits suicide. To fight against the injustice that killed his friend, Shahid files a complaint in the court, which turns into a nationwide campaign. Yami Gautam plays the role of a lawyer who is from the opposition. Each actor seems to impress us by their acting, accept Shraddha Kapoor, who still has a long way to go.

The songs seem good and the movie can be expected to serve us with good quality entertainment.

We cannot wait for the movie to release. The trailer is extremely exciting and comes out to be a real treat for Shahid’s fans.
