New Delhi: Indian women's cricket team's young batsman Shafali Verma has become the number one batsman in the ICC Women's T20 rankings. She has regained this feat by surpassing Australia's Beth Mooney. Shafali Verma has been the top T20 batsman before. India's Smriti Mandhana has suffered a loss in the rankings. She has slipped to fourth place. Australia's Beth Mooney is now the second-ranked T20 batsman and Meg Lanning is the third-ranked T20 batsman. Australia's Alyssa Healy is in sixth place. Two New Zealand batsmen are in the top 10. Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates are at number five and seven respectively.

Sri Lanka's Chamari Atapattu has moved up six places to eighth place after scoring 221 runs at an average of 55.25 and a strike rate of 185.71 in the Commonwealth Games qualifiers.
