You all must have seen the Shaktimaan show. You must remember Geeta Vishwas appearing in this show. Geeta's real name is Vaishnavi Mahant. Vaishnavi Mahanta is famous for her excellent style and even today people know her by the name of Gita. Vaishnavi Mahant has changed a lot now. Her look has been very different from before and she looks great. Vaishnavi was born in Mumbai and her father is Hindu while her mother is Christian. Her family shifted to Hyderabad when she was a child and at that time Vaishnavi thought that she would become a scientist.
Vaishnavi used to come to Mumbai on holidays and from here she got an opportunity to work in Ramsay Brothers horror film 'Veerana'. It is said that she was 14 when she worked in the film Veerana. After working on this film, she chose the acting field and thought of making a career in it. After that, she did other films including 'Ladla', 'Bombay Ka Babu', 'Danveer', 'Babul'. She worked not only in Bollywood but also in the South Film Industry, but she could not get any success. After that Shaktimaan was telecast on Doordarshan in 1997 and Vaishnavi became famous by playing Geeta Vishwas in the serial.
After this show, she worked in many TV shows and she went on to become famous. She has so far worked in 'Choona hai Aasman', 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke', 'Tashan hai Ishq', 'Ye Un Dino Ki Baat Hai', 'Hum Paanch Fir Se', 'Kasautii Zindagii kay', ''Ek Ladki Anjani Si', 'Mile Jab Hum Tum', 'Dil Se Dil Tak' and 'Mittegi Laxman Rekha'.
