Shimla: The security of Himachal's Shaktipeeths will soon be arranged on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan in Andhra Pradesh. After the completion of Corona, a team of 5 Superintendents of Police, headed by an officer of Superintendent of Police level, is going to study it in Andhra Pradesh. In the midst of this one-week training stay, this team is going to study the security arrangements of this Devasthan, which manages several lakh devotees every year.

According to the information received, the spokesman of the Police Headquarters and SP Law and Order Dr. Khushhal Sharma has informed that DGP Sanjay Kundu has written to the DGP of Andhra Pradesh and Executive Officer of Tirupati in this regard.

Sharma said that apart from biometric scanners in Tirupati, online registration and CCTV cameras have made many security arrangements. Since millions of people go to Shaktipeeth and big temples like Jwalaji, Chamunda Devi, Bajreshwari Devi, Chintpurni and Naina Devi in Himachal every year. Apart from this, every year domestic and foreign tourists reach the Dalai Lama, Buddhist temple in Rivalsar and Khardag monastery. In such a situation, this exercise is being done to keep the security system at these heavily congested places.
