Announcing the recent Bollywood debut of Shanaya Kapoor, she is said to be making her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar Dharma Productions. After working as an assistant director in Jahnvi Kapoor's 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', she is now stepping into the industry as an actress. According to media reports, Shanaya is going to make her Bollywood debut with 'Student of the Year 3'. But the latest media reports have dismissed these reports.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Shanaya has been signed by Karan Johar's talent management company Dharma Cornerstone Agency. Her debut movie will also feature Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani. The shooting of the movie is scheduled to begin in mid-2021. According to the shooting work, its release date has been set.
If talked about, this 'Student of the Year 3' movie has been set for digital release on Netflix. The report said that Shanaya was being planned to cast Aalia Furniturewalla in 'Student of the Year 3' but later it was decided in the midst of a conversation between Maheep Kapoor and Karan Johar that she want her debut movie to release in theater. Hence the decision to cast her in 'Student of the Year 3' was rescinded. Shanaya is now to appear in the romantic comedy film opposite Gurfateh and Lakshya.
