Noted Shankar Rao, a Kannada actor and comedian, died on Monday at his home in Bangalore. He was 88 years old and had been sick for a long time.
Over the course of three decades, Shankar Rao appeared in over a hundred Kannada films with all of the renowned stars. Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag, Anant Nag, Lokesh, Srinath, Dwarkeesh, Shivaraj Kumar, Ravichandran, Ramesh Arvind, Upendra, Puneeth Rajkumar, and Darshan were among the stars with whom he worked.
Shankar Rao, who is most known for his work on stage, made his Sandalwood debut with the film 'Yaara Sakshi.' He has appeared in prominent Kannada TV serials like 'Maya Mruga,' 'Silli Lalli,' and 'Papa Pandu,' among others.
