Actor Sharad Malhotra is appearing in the fifth season of TV series Naagin. He is playing a negative role in the serial. This is the first time Sharad is seen in a negative character. He is very fond of this character. Recently, Sharad has now talked about his character and his fears related to it.
Referring to the media, Sharad recalled the night when the first episode of the serial aired, Sharad said, "I didn't want to watch the first episode. I thought I would be trolled. I felt like people were preparing for Ganpati Bappa at that time and late-night when I finally saw it and I was getting the response, I was a little calmed. This is the kind of love, the admiration I've seen after a long time and I'm grateful for it."
In addition, Sharad has said, "I think I was scared about it at that time. I've always done positive roles. When I found out about it from Ekta Kapoor that she wanted someone to play a negative role, I was a little scared. I wasn't worried about her thinking, but I was worried that I didn't know if I could do it properly or not. I talked about it and everybody spoke to me that it's something I've never done before and people haven't seen me in such a character."
