Popular TV actor Sharad Malhotra  is all set to tie knot with Delhi-based designer Ripci Bhatia. After being in two relationships, Malhotra is finally ready to take the plunge.  Sharad who is often accused of being marriage-phobic, feels this is the time for him to settle down in his life. And the preparations of his big-fat Punjabi wedding have begun. It all started with a puja at his residence in Kolkata.

The Muskaan actor’s wedding will take place in the third week of April in Mumbai. Their wedding celebrations have been spread over two days with haldi, mehendi and sangeet, followed by a gurdwara wedding the next day and Hindu pheras in the evening.

Sharing more information about the wedding,Sharad  told Mid-Day, "My mother and sister have already started planning for the functions. Since Ripci is a Sikhni, there will be dholwallahs playing at our wedding. I have also arranged for a top line-up of DJs, one of whom is a friend from Kolkata. My mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law will all shake a leg that day. Friends from the TV fraternity will definitely be a part of my wedding functions in Mumbai.

The actor went on to reveal that it was Ripci's simplicity which attracted him the most. Ssharad called her to-be-wife to the most beautiful, independent and level-headed person he has ever met.
