Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar on Monday appeared like a normal passenger on a metro train in Pune. The former Maharashtra Chief Minister suddenly reached the Fugewadi metro station in Pimpri Chinchwad and travelled with some of his supporters standing for about 6 km in the train. The special thing was that Pawar bought his ticket on his own like the common man.
The metro train service between Pimpri and Fugewadi is going to be launched from 31st January. Earlier, Sharad Pawar made this surprise visit to sensitize the public about it. The NCP Chief also met metro officials after the visit and inspected the progress of the project. Due to this, he also saw a presentation on the entire project. The officials told them how it was prepared ahead of schedule. The challenges faced by construction were also highlighted. Pawar also understood the technique of construction of the metro through the presentation.

Metro officials have also taken selfies with them.
