Maharashtra: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar recently tweeted sequentially. Through these tweets, he has targeted the central government for new agricultural laws.

In fact, in his first tweet, Sharad Pawar has said, "Farmer brothers get a fair price for their crop, so during my tenure, the MSP of food grains was increased on a record scale. The MSP of paddy in the year 2003-04 was only Rs. 550 per quintal and MSP of wheat is only Rs. 630 per quintal. The UPA government tried to increase it by 35-40 percent every year. The price of paddy in the year 2013-14 was Rs. 1310 and wheat for Rs. Increased to 1400 per quintal. The MSP is an important reason for the record food grains produced during that period. The great task of restoring happiness in the lives of farmers of Punjab, UP, and Haryana took place during the tenure of the UPA government. ”

In his next tweet, Sharad Pawar said, "When I took charge of the post of Agriculture Minister of the country, the wheat importing country became an agricultural exporters country by 2014 and the country got about Rs. 1. Foreign currency of 80 thousand crores was received. Three new laws brought by the NDA government in which farmers have to choose the market from their election to sell crop, in this direction, the government led by former Prime Minister Vajpayee in the year 2003 recognized the Model State Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development-Regulation) Act. Gave it Nevertheless, there was no uniformity in the laws of the market in every state in the entire country. Keeping this in view, in my tenure, I wrote letters to the states on May 25, 2004, and June 12, 2007, and requested them to take necessary initiatives towards their change. Not only this, in the year 2010, a committee of agriculture ministers of the states was constituted without showing any haste. ”

In this way, he has given many more tweets. In a tweet, he writes, "Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar is now saying that the new law-based provisions do not even affect the current MSP system. He is also saying that the new laws provide a convenient and additional channel for farmers to sell their produce. Under the new law, farmers can sell their goods outside the mandi but the MSP does not have any protection while selling to private buyers. This was what the agitating farmers had to say from the beginning. With the corporate sector, farmers have not been assured of getting the right price for a long time.” In the same tweet, he has talked about the new agricultural laws.
