Kolkata: Former Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, who is stranded in Kolkata Saradha chit fund scam, difficulties for him are not becoming less. The investigation agency has now become strict even after the CBI has not submitted summons repeatedly. The agency has formed a special team to search for him. Yesterday i.e. on Tuesday, Rajiv Kumar, through his lawyer, filed an anticipatory bail petition in the special court of Barasat, but Judge Sanjeev Talukdar dismissed his plea saying that hearing of the anticipatory bail plea was not under his jurisdiction. The judge asked Rajiv Kumar to file a petition in the Barasat district sessions court.

Subsequently, a petition was filed in the district court. After hearing that, the judge reserved the verdict. Actually, no clue of former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has been found so far. The state secretariat reached Navan in search of him, the CBI issued a second summons in three days for questioning in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam and asked him to appear in the agency's office by 2 pm on Monday.

But he did not reach this deadline. The two-member CBI team went to the secretariat on Monday and handed over two separate letters to the state chief secretary and home secretary on the issue of Rajiv Kumar's absence. Through this letter, the investigating agency wanted to know on what basis he got a month's leave and when he would return. It may be known that this matter caught a lot of trouble. A direct confrontation between Mamata and the central government had started on this issue.
