New Delhi: The Sensex opened with a gain of over 200 points in early trade on Friday due to the strength in the stocks of big companies like Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever and Kotak Bank. The BSE 30-share index Sensex was trading at 36,048.60 points, after touching a high of 36,110.21 points and gaining 204.90 points or 0.57 percent. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading at 10,627.50 points with a gain of 75.80 points or 0.72 percent in early trade.

Among Sensex companies, Bajaj Auto's share was in a two percent increase. Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries and Kotak Bank were also in profit. On the other hand, shares of Tata Steel, HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Finance were in red mark. Due to strong signals from domestic markets, the domestic stock market continued to rise for the third consecutive day on Friday. Sensex opened above 36000, while Nifty started trading at 10615.

Local markets also strengthened on Thursday, with Corona's positive stance on international markets amid reports that the vaccine test was encouraging. Dr Balram Bhargava, Chief of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has sent a letter to all the major medical colleges in the country, saying that a new coronavirus vaccine is being prepared under a joint program with Bharat Biotech. This vaccine named BBV152 COVID Vaccine can be launched on August 15.
