The stock market opened today with an increase on the first day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index Sensex opened 74.39 points higher at 40,431.08 today. After the market opened, the Sensex rose to a maximum of 40,542.40 points by 9.35 am. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened today with a gain of 19.7 points at 11,915.15. Presently it went up to a maximum of 11,946.20 points.

The Sensex was trading at 40,360.84 with a gain of 4.15 points at 9.36 minutes on Friday and the Nifty was trading at 11,904.00 with a gain of 8.55 points. At this time, out of 50 companies of Nifty, 27 companies were trading on the green mark and 23 companies were trading on red marks.
