Sharmila Tagore, who has done memorable performances in films like 'Kashmir Ki Kali', 'Waqt', 'Aapne-Samne', was born on 8 December 1946 in Hyderabad. Sharmila, a very bold actress of her time, was born into a Hindu Bengali family. Sharmila started her acting career with Satyajit Ray's film 'Apur Sansar'. His performance in this film was highly appreciated. His first Bollywood film 'Kashmir Ki Kali' came in 1964, in which she was praised everywhere after seeing his acting. Actually, this is the time when he had an affair with Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. In those days, she was dominated everywhere with her bikini scene in the film. In Mumbai, there were huge hoardings in which Sharmila was wearing bikini, then one day Sharmila came to know that Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's mother was coming to Mumbai to meet her. Now Sharmila Tagore was shocked to hear this. More than meeting Mansoor's mother, Sharmila Tagore was worried about what would happen if Mansoor's mother saw her bikini hoardings?
