New Delhi: With the defeat in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, within a year, another state has slipped from the BJP's hands after Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. In the election results declared on Monday, the Grand Alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress and Arejadi won 47 seats in the state.

BJP has got only 25 seats. Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubardas too could not save his seat. While the BJP has started reviewing the reasons for the defeat in Jharkhand, Congress leader Shatrughan Sinha attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the defeat of BJP in Jharkhand, Shatrughan tweeted that, '‘Khamosh’! Jharkhand BJP...TATA- BYE-BYE! 1man show & 2men army- your game seems to be over- as expected! After this, in another tweet, Shatrughan Sinha said, 'Sir, the writing on the wall is a reality now, which seemed very obvious. #JharkhandResults Sir, after your not so good & desirable show in Haryana, it was touch & go in Maharashtra, where the rug was pulled from under your feet, with the strength of the combined opposition.'
