Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha is celebrating his birthday today. Bihari Babu Shatrughan Sinha was born on December 9, 1945, at his Kadamkuan house in Patna. Shatrughan Sinha's three elder brothers were scientists, engineers and doctors. The father wanted his younger son to be either a doctor or a scientist like his three elder brothers.

Shatrughan Sinha did not find these two fields close to his interest. So one day he got the form from Pune Film Institute without telling his father. Now the difficulty was who would become the Guardian? Father refused for signing. The elder brother became his support. He signed the form. Thus the attitude of Shatrughan Sinha's life changed. Among his three elder brothers, Ram is still in America and a scientist by profession. Lakhan is an engineer and is based in Mumbai. The third Bharat is a doctor by profession and lives in London. Bihari Babu's father and mother Shyama Sinha has passed away. Bihari Babu was more fond of his mother.

Shatrughan Sinha had a desire to work in films since childhood. Bypassing his father's wishes, he entered the Film and Television Institute of Pune. After taking training from there, he started trying in films but luck was not supporting because of clenched lips. He started thinking of getting plastic surgery. Devanand asks him not to do so. He started his career with the film 'Saajan' in 1969. In the fifties and sixties, K.N. Singh, Pran, Amjad Khan and Amrish Puri in the sixties and parallel to these, Bihari Babu aka Shotgun aka Shatrughan Sinha made an entry in the Hindi film industry. Shatrughan soon became the favourite of the audience due to his loud voice. When he came, he was a hero, but the industry turned him into a villain.
