The rumours of death of veteran actress Mumtaz created a lot of buzz yesterday on social media. The rumours began when film critic and trade analyst Komal Nahta shared the news of Mumtaz's demise on Twitter. Now, actress’s daughter Tanya Madhvani refutes the rumours in a video message on Instagram.
Tanya posted a video on Instagram and wrote, "So exhausting another rumor of my mother’s death. She is healthy and looking beautiful as always and has asked me to let her fans know she is well ! It’s all rubbish ?,"
In video, Tanya said, "Hi, this is just a post to say that my mother is fine. She is in London. Komal Nahta has started some rumours and do not listen to them. She's sending her love and kiss to you all.”

Mumtaz is currently in London enjoying a quality time with Tanya and her family. Milap Zaveri too dismissed the rumours as he spoke to Mumtaz's nephew Shaad Randhawa. He tweeted, "Mumtaz Aunty is alive and absolutely fine. Just spoke to her and @Shaadrandhawa her nephew. She would like for the rumors to stop ?"

Later, Komal Nahta deleted his tweet and apologised on Twitter, He wrote, "Extremely sorry for posting news about Mumtaz ji’s demise. By God’s grace, she is hale and hearty. The incorrect news is gaining ground in the film trade. But to set the record straight, Mumtaz ji is absolutely fine."
