This is not the first time that the a leader made such misogynistic comment. One deplorable remark after the other from several leaders across ideologies or political affiliations have come to light when it comes to commenting on women leaders in electoral politics or who are campaigning. In a similar incident, recently when Jaya Prada joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, a former colleague of hers from the Samajwadi Party passed snide remarks on her, calling her a ‘dancer who will enthral people’. Firoz Khan said, “When there was a traffic jam, I stepped out of my car to have a look at her. Who knows, she would have even danced a few steps to clear out the traffic... Now, evenings in Rampur will now get colourful.”
