In an important case, the Mumbai Police has detained a young man from Dongri for threatening a journalist. This young man recently shared a video on social media celebrating the birthday of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Thursday was Dawood's 64th birthday. Police have arrested Azhar Feroz Maniyar alias Shera Chikna, who lives in Dongri. He is accused of threatening local journalist Mohsin Sheikh. Mohsin uploaded a video celebrating Dawood's birthday on YouTube and sent it to several WhatsApp groups. Sheikh lodged a complaint against Azhar in the police on Friday. However, the accused claimed that this video is not his. No FIR has been filed in the case and further investigation is being done.

For your information, let us tell you that Dawood is the most dangerous terrorist for India and he has been declared a terrorist of global level. He is the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, in which more than 258 people were killed. Dawood lives in Karachi, Pakistan. He is said to be involved in smuggling of drugs and weapons, financing of terror, smuggling of fake Indian currency notes. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve told Mid Day that the Crime Branch is investigating the matter and action will be taken on it.
