Born on April 5, 1983, Shikha Devi Oberoi remains a former Indian-American professional tennis player and former No. 1 position in the Indian category. She is the second Indian woman player after Nirupama Sanjeev to break into the top 200 in the WTA rankings. Among those who like tennis, The name Shikha Oberoi is not a new name.

Mumbai-born Shikha Oberoi completed her childhood in New Jersey and started her tennis training from there. Shikha has an elder sister and three younger sisters and these five sisters play tennis, but Shikha, with her hard work and perseverance, brought the name of the country forward and played an important role in making India a mark in the world of tennis.

Some important achievements of Shikha:-

- At the 2004 US Open, Shikha has become the second Indian woman player in the modern era to win a round in a Grand Slam tournament by defeating Japan's Saori Obata.
- In 2005, Shikha reached 2 WTA doubles finals in partnership with sister Neha in Kolkata and Guangzhou.
- In 2006, Shikha represented India at the 2006 Asian Games, where she defeated Linda Ahmed of Bahrain in Round 1.
- Shikha was a finalist in Auckland in 2007.
