The 10th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Shilpa Shinde made her long-awaited return to television. She performed to the song Ghagra from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani by Madhuri Dixit. She opened up about her new home, which she built herself, on the outskirts of Mumbai when judge Madhuri Dixit questioned her, "itni din kaha thi (where were you all this time)".
Shilpa was seen in a clip building her own home on her own. Pictures of her using a hammer to drive a nail, a stone cutter to cut tiles, and a paintbrush to decorate the walls were also displayed. I wanted to go somewhere where I could find peace, she said, adding, "Mujhe aisi jagah jana tha jahaan mujhe shanti chahiye, jahaan koi nahi ho, to main waha pe gai where nobody is anywhere, so I went there)."
Shilpa shared a video in April of this year detailing how she chose the materials for the finishing touches on her new home. "A dream does not become a reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work," she had written in the caption. She embellished her caption with the words "farmhouse," "Karjat," "hard work," and "dream." The house of Shilpa was shown in the video both before and after. Shilpa was observed independently quarrying the stones, mixing the cement, and adhering them to a stairway and boundary walls. She used cement to adhere stone tiles to the border of a small garden to decorate it herself. Additionally, the location had strategically placed lighting to produce the desired result.

Shilpa added that she had taken part in Bigg Boss 11 for Salman Khan and that she is currently appearing in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa for Madhuri. The actor is well-known for portraying Angoori Bhabhi, the main character, on the comedy series Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai! She appeared in Gangs of Filmistan and Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan after leaving the show.
